Big new projects for 2026
Happy new year everyone
2025 was a good year for The Progress Theory. We released some amazing episodes on hybrid training and branched out to other challenging topics. A particular highlight was the episode on Psychopathy in Sport with a stellar roundtable of guests. Truly fascinating.
There were some quiet periods in 2025 as we were working on projects in the background ready for 2026 (me being off work due to concussion slowed things down, too). However, I am now excited to provide some teasers for what is to come in 2026.
We have a new space for filming content, podcast episodes and doing science. I want it to be a hybrid lab/studio. It looks great and although we are still installing some finishing touches, I can’t wait to fully utilise it in 2026. I’ll do an update post soon.
The research for book number two starts in 2026, so expect many awesome podcast episodes with some of the best minds and athletes in human performance. I won’t give away the book topic just yet, but it does build on my last book ‘The Science of Hybrid Training’.
With more hybrid athletes taking on crazier physical challenges all over the world, this book will provide amazing stories, the science behind performance and training recommendations so that the reader has the tools to take on the world’s biggest challenges.
Make sure you subscribe to this newsletter and our Youtube channel as we’ll be documenting all of our research and training knowledge and make The Progress Theory the best resource for human performance.
In the meantime, if you haven’t read ‘The Science of Hybrid Training’ yet make sure you grab a copy while there is still 40% off. Links below:
